At the age of 19, Tori-Lynn is what many would consider to be a seasoned veteran in the entertainment industry. She is an entertainer who has already reached heights that many independent musicians can only dream about.
Even at a young age, Tori-Lynn knew performing was for her. She constantly reminisces about the memories of her mother singing to her, which sparked her interest in vocals. Tori-Lynn started out dancing at the tender age of three and her determination to succeed eventually lead to her touring with the renowned dance company, The Pulse, run by well-known choreographer Cris Judd as a dance protégé. She has worked with some of the biggest names in choreography including Laurieann Gibson of “Making the Band” fame. As she put it, “The experience of working with such amazing choreographers, was truly a humbling experience teaching me to become an all around better dancer and artist”
Tori-Lynn has never forgotten what got her to this point and continues to push through all the obstacles. She understands the challenges of pursuing a career in the entertainment field, but wouldn’t have it any other way as she elegantly stated, “Success does not happen over night”. She’s learned many valuable lessons over the years including that ultimately you can’t please everyone. She credits her strong-will to an “amazing support system which has been with me every step of the way, teaching me a great deal.” Within her support system is her biggest influence and personal hero, her brother Glenn.
Glenn has a rare genetic disease, Cystinosis, that causes an amino acid, cysteine, to accumulate in various organs of his body. Inspired by Glenn’s strength to fight, Tori-Lynn has been driven to give back to charity whenever she can. She has performed at various charitable events including the Make a Wish Foundation and Dan Marino’s Walk for Autism. Tori-Lynn finds influences in her life experiences as she stated that, “These are the driving forces behind my music.” Her music touches upon themes that range from family and friends to topics about letting go of someone or something toxic in your life and moving on to happiness and positivity. She focuses on the idea of letting go of toxic things in her single “Let Go” featuring Omi (Cheerleader).
Tori-Lynn’s fans continue to remain her primary focus. She mentioned during our interview, “My hope is to reach out to as many people as possible and touch their souls…swaying them away from their problems and making them feel inspired even if it’s just for one spilt second.” Fans have a lot to look forward to in 2016 as Tori-Lynn plans on releasing new music, embarking on a national tour and hopefully getting back into acting. Tori-Lynn Lynn will truly be a force to reckoned with in the near future.
