Netflix Is “The King of Stand-Up Comedy” According to Slashfilm.com
Netflix has come to be known as “The New King of Stand-Up Comedy”. HBO and Pay-Per-View was once the prime destination for exclusive, high quality stand-up specials. Many of the premium networks have gotten away from doing comedy specials in recent years.

Netflix has secured deals with some of the biggest names for specials to air at some point this year including Amy Schumer: The Leather Special, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld and Louis C.K. Dave Chappelle actually has two comedy specials being released on March 21.
