From Indiewire: Verve, a Hollywood talent agency is a developing a movie based on Susan Fowler, the whistleblower, whose revelations of sexual harassment at Uber eventually led to the firing of more than 20 employees and the resignation of then-CEO Travis Kalanick. The agency describes the film as ‘Erin Brockovich’ meets ‘The Social Network.’
Fowler chronicled her experience at Uber in an explosive blog post earlier this year, “Reflecting on One Very, Very Strange Year at Uber.” She described her experience as “strange, fascinating, and slightly horrifying”.
The project is likely to be in the earliest stages of development. No one is attached to it and no other details are given. Fowler “now has a job at Stripe as the editor of its tech publication.”
