‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Final Trailer
Marvel released the final trailer for Spiderman Homecoming (July 7). In the latest trailer, we get to see Peter Parker struggle as he balances his double life as a superhero desperate to prove himself and a high school student who can’t share his biggest secret. This is the second reboot of the Spider-man franchise in five years, but the first to star Tom Holland. Holland first appeared as Peter Parker in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
‘Narcos’ Writers Set to Pen Elizabeth Banks’ ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Reboot
The creators of Netflix’s Narcos, Doug Miro & Carlo Bernard, have been tapped to rewrite the script of Elizabeth Banks’ reboot of Charlie’s Angels. The original Charlie’s Angels began as a television series in 1976 and is best know n for launching the career of actress Farah Fawcett. Though the show was panned by critics it found success lasting for 5 seasons.
In 2000 a film adaptation was developed featuring three former LAPD members (Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu & Drew Barrymore) who, along with their male sidekick Bosley, solved cases for a mysterious man named Charlie. A sequel was released in 2003 entitled Full Throttle. The reboot is set to hit theaters in 2019.
‘The Get Down’ Canceled by Netflix
Via Variety: Netflix has canceled Baz Luhrmann’s “The Get Down” after one season.
The cancellation brings an official end to a series. The show failed to connect with viewers in the ways that other Netflix hits have. Season one premiered in two parts, with the second part debuting on the streaming service in April to little fanfare. The first part of season one, premiered last year.
